Choosing Carpet for your Space

Frequently carpet makes a lot of sense. It is often the choice of parents as it is a kid friendly soft surface for children to play on. We see carpet installations in bedrooms, recreation rooms, and other types of living areas where that cozy warm and soft feeling beneath the foot is desirable.

Choosing a cut berber style is a better fit, as it has no loops and will be more resilient in homes with pets. The fiber creates that cushioned feel that is soft and ideal for homes with children. Carpeting can vary in price depending on the type of fiber. There are typically two many types of fiber used for carpeting; Nylon and Polyester. Nylon is very durable but is generally more expensive and less stain resistant than Polyester. It is a synthetic fiber that comes in a variety of colors and a nylon carpet floor can last up to twenty years when properly maintained. It is a popular choice for new home owners. Polyester is more economical and very stain resistant but not generally as durable as Nylon. Both Nylon & Polyester can come in a solution dyed type that are both very stain resistant and even can be cleaned with a light mixture of bleach and water. Just make sure your fiber type is the solution-dyed type.
